The Fall – Your Future Our Clutter

23 Apr

Just a quick note to say that The Fall’s new album, Your Future Our Clutter, out this Monday, is available to listen to for FREE on The Guardian Music’s website.

Click the rather lo-fi image for a listen.

It follows just where Imperial Wax Solvent left off. I was scared with recent live shows that Mark E and gang may start to fall off the wagon and hit a lull, but there’s no sign of it here. Even if you listen to just the first song, Your Future Our Clutter proves that even after decades in the business, The Fall haven’t lost their (his) energy.

Yuckity Yuck Yuck Yuck

I was going to write a 300-word missive about how impressive this band is, but then I found The Guardian had done it for me.

And besides, I can hardly pontificate about which bands you should all be listening to when I rarely write about music on here.

Although you’ll probably forgive me once you see London band Yuck live – which you should as the recordings don’t really do them justice – and they become as rich and famous as they deserve to be.

Yuck are playing lots around the UK and all for very cheap prices, so grab your ticket now before they shoot up (The prices, not the musicians).

I’ll leave you with a little ditty.

Think Dinosaur Jr meets Pavement with a little dirty Sonic Youthy flair.
